New 5k A Day Challenge Launched for Mental Health Awareness Week
Join us as we launch the 5K A Day Challenge in support of Mental Health Awareness Week!
Here at Bath Mind, our dedication to mental health support in Bath and North East Somerset drives us to introduce this exciting event. Running from 13th – 19th May 2024, this challenge aligns perfectly with Mental Health Awareness Week‘s theme of movement.
Research consistently shows that regular physical activity greatly benefits both mental and physical health. From stress management to mood enhancement and beyond, the advantages are numerous. Incorporating movement into daily routines can significantly impact overall wellbeing and contribute to long-term health.
Our 5K A Day Challenge encourages participants to complete a 5-kilometer activity every day during Mental Health Awareness Week. Whether it’s a brisk morning walk, a school-run scoot, or a swim, each 5K completed raises awareness for mental health and supports our vital services in the community.
Hannah Roper, our Director of Business Development, expresses her enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to launch the 5K A Day Challenge as part of Mental Health Awareness Week. This event not only underscores the importance of physical activity for mental wellbeing but also unites our community in support of mental health services across Bath and North East Somerset.”
Participate in the challenge and raise over £25 to receive a complimentary Bath Mind t-shirt. Additionally, all entrants will be entered into a prize draw to win a meal for two (food only) at Crescent Restaurant and Bar in Bath!
Sign up for the 5K A Day Challenge.
