What is Safe Space?

Safe Space is a peer support group for young people aged 16-25. It gives individuals a space to connect and have discussions about their mental health and wellbeing in a safe, supportive place, facilitated by Bath Mind staff and volunteers.

There are opportunities to engage in new activities based around the Five Ways to Wellbeing, such as:

  • Creative sessions with theatre practitioners and artists
  • Film sessions with local directors
  • Regular social gatherings, such as bowling, cinema trips or meals out.

The group is held every Monday from 5pm to 6.30pm and runs both online and in-person.

Safe Space has been a lifeline for me. I felt so alone and had so many questions with a late ADHD diagnosis. With Safe Space, I have found those answers and made friendships for life.
