- Safe Space Group
The Safe Space group has supported me by giving a sense of encouraging consistency in my weekly life, in addition to introducing me to an accepting group of various individuals and experiences.
What is Safe Space?
Safe Space is a peer support group for young people (aged 16-25) to connect and have discussions about their mental health and wellbeing in a safe, supportive place, facilitated by Bath Mind staff and volunteers. There are opportunities to engage in new activities based around the five ways to wellbeing, such as:
- Creative sessions with theatre practitioners (check out our latest film featuring Safe Space!)
- Film sessions with local directors
- Guided art sessions
- Opportunities to get involved with new hobbies and skills
Safe Space also have a social gathering once each month, sharing a game of bowling, a cinema trip or a meal together.
The group is currently held every Monday from 5.00pm to 6.30pm and runs both online and in-person.
