Lovely staff, lovely people, I just love it.
What is Food for Thought?
Food for Thought is a weekly cooking group that enjoy the experience of eating delicious, healthy food together. During the Spring and Summer months there are events and activities, such as cooking outdoors at Bath Mind Allotments.
Members have the opportunity to be creative, try new foods, learn new skills and socialise in a friendly, supportive environment. The group works with individuals and aims to support them in making healthier food choices, working as a team, using local and seasonal produce and budgeting.
Food for Thought also run nutrition courses in the community. We may also at times be able to provide catering for events, community activities and local businesses.
Produce from our Greenlinks allotment and food donated from local supermarkets is utilised whenever possible.
What groups are available?
Our lunch group is currently at full capacity, but we will be reviewing our waiting list and capacity in Autumn 2022. Thank you for your patience!
Our nutrition courses and workshops are held both face-to-face and online, and aim to promote good mental health and wellbeing. A great chance to meet new people and form friendships, previous courses have covered:
- New skills around nutrition
- The link between food and mood
- Gentle forms of exercise for the body and mind
Our Nutrition, Physical Activity and Mental Health booklet explains some common ‘myths’ about nutrition, as well as mental health and wellbeing tips.
