Improving my physical health has helped my mental wellbeing. The staff were encouraging all the time and issues individual to me personally were discussed privately.

What is Food for Thought?

Food for Thought run nutrition courses and workshops in the community. These courses give people the opportunity to be creative, try new foods, learn new skills and socialise in a friendly, supportive environment.

We may also at times be able to provide catering for events, community activities and local businesses. Produce from our Greenlinks allotment and food donated from local supermarkets is utilised whenever possible.

What courses are available?

Our nutrition courses and workshops are held both face-to-face and online, and aim to promote good mental health and wellbeing. A great chance to meet new people and form friendships, previous courses have covered:

  • New skills around nutrition
  • The link between food and mood
  • Gentle forms of exercise for the body and mind

Head to our events page for details of our next course!

Or get in touch to express interest in upcoming courses!

Our Nutrition, Physical Activity and Mental Health booklet shows some of the nutritional myths that we busted in a previous course.
