What is the Members Panel?
Bath Mind are passionate about ensuring that all the work we do is guided and shaped by individuals with lived experience of mental health difficulties.
This is achieved by actively engaging with members of the community and participants of existing groups, to ask them for feedback and their valued contribution in shaping future services.
Our Members Panel is formed of individuals with lived experience across a number of our services, including our Wellbeing Groups and Community Support service.
This is a group with lived experience of mental health difficulties having a say in how we work, empowering those involved to have a voice and ensuring that the services we offer reflect the needs and views of people living with mental health difficulties in our local community.
Here are some examples of how the panel may shape the work at Bath Mind:
- Recruitment of staff and volunteers
- Reviewing policies and strategies
- Organising events during key calendar dates such as Mental Health Awareness week and World Mental Health day
