Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity is an interactive three hour training course for sports and physical activity providers to increase their knowledge and understanding of mental health in a sports and physical activity setting and to increase their confidence to talk about mental health.
It is designed for coaches, sport administrators, volunteers and front of house staff that may be delivering, planning to deliver, or supporting the delivery of physical activity sessions for adults (18+) with experience of mental health problems.
It has been developed by Mind as part of the Get Set to Go programme funded by Sport England and the National Lottery with support from UK Coaching. The course is registered with CIMSPA for CPD points.
