As a local and independent mental health charity, Bath Mind are here to promote and nurture everyone’s mental health through the provision of information, activities, advice, and support.
Taking part in Mental Elf is a fun and enjoyable way to support both your own AND your community’s mental health and wellbeing.

Free warm up session: 10.40am
Race start: 11.00am
By running this 5k fun run, you will be helping us to provide support to everyone in Bath & North East Somerset who experiences mental distress or may be at risk of poor mental health.
Sponsorship is not essential, but in order to ensure we reach our fundraising target of £5,000 we’d be delighted to see Mental Elf fun runners to go that step further and set up a fundraising page!
All funds raised will go to Bath Mind’s vital local mental health services. From 1:1 counselling to gardening groups to online courses, each donation will go the extra mile to supporting someone who needs urgent support with their mental health.

Email [email protected] and one of our team will get back to you.
We are not timing this event. You are welcome to use a tracking app, such as Strava, to time your own run.
Christmas-themed attire and costumes are preferred but not essential, although we hope to see lots of runners dressed up! It’s the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit and make the most out of your Christmas fun run.
Not at all! Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, we’d love for you to join us.
Dogs are not allowed on the cycle track unfortunately, but they are welcome to come along and cheer on their humans! We just ask that dogs are supervised by your spectators.
If you’re not able to take part in the fun run but keen to be involved on the day, we’d love your support! Visit our Volunteer page for details of this micro volunteering opportunity.
As this is a winter event, it’s likely the weather may be cold or wet (although our fingers will be crossed for winter sunshine!). The track is tarmac and the event will go ahead if it’s raining. If snow, ice or extreme conditions are forecast, we will contact runners with updates prior to the day.
Yes! Everyone who takes part will receive a tree-mendous Bath Mind Mental Elf medal!
