Welcome To Bath Mind

For better mental health

Bath Mind is an independent voluntary organisation affiliated to National Mind, and is working towards a better life for people diagnosed, labeled and treated as mentally ill. Bath Mind runs several projects in Bath for people experiencing mental ill health and their carers.

These projects include:

  • A Community Outreach Support Service (COS) to assist people who have experienced mental or emotional distress to access services
  • An independent advocacy service to help people access the services they need and to voice their concerns. We support anyone who experiences emotion or mental distress, older users of the mental health services, people with dementia and their carers and people from Black and minority ethnic communities. We also provide a weekly outreach service, at the psychiatric unit of Bath Royal United Hospital, for people detained under the Mental Health Act
  • Three housing projects offering different levels of support from a few hours a week to 24 hour nursing care
  • Providing information on various mental health issues
  • Bath Mind is also the provider of Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy Service (IMCA) for B&NES
