Mental Elf is a family-friendly fun run welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun, festive activity, you can choose between our 2km or 5km course options. We’re excited to have you join us and encourage as many people as possible to take part!
As a local and independent mental health charity, Bath Mind are here to promote and nurture everyone’s mental health through the provision of information, activities, advice, and support.
By participating in Mental Elf, you’re not only joining a fun and festive event, but also making a meaningful impact on community mental health.
We ask all participants to aim for a fundraising goal of £80. These funds will enable Bath Mind to offer essential support to individuals across Bath and North East Somerset who are experiencing mental distress or are at risk of poor mental health.

Feel free to don an elf hat, Santa costume, Christmas jumper, or any other holiday-themed outfit—you’ll be spreading cheer and adding to the fun atmosphere of the event. Yes, the café at the sports ground will be open throughout the event. Here you can purchase a variety of hot and cold drinks, as well as food.
Yes, there is. Please proceed to the sports complex for registration. Our team will be there to assist you and get you ready for the event!
You’re welcome to switch between the 2km and 5km route. If you need to change your chosen distance, please email us at [email protected]. Letting us know helps us manage participant numbers effectively.
Dogs are welcome on the day to spectate but sadly cannot participate in the run on the cycle track due to site rules.
Yes, there is an indoor room available within the sports complex This space can be used by spectators in case of bad weather or for gathering after the event.
Yes, we strive to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event. The course is flat, and both the café and changing rooms have level access. The route is suitable for both running buggies and wheelchairs. Yes, specialist medical support will be provided by Mendip Medical, who will be on-site throughout the event. For everyone’s safety, we ask all participants to complete a medical form prior to the event. This helps us ensure that we are fully prepared to assist you should any medical needs arise.

Yes, the event will proceed as planned if it rains. The run will take place on a tarmac track, which is suitable for various weather conditions. However, in the event of severe weather, such as ice or snow, we will conduct a site visit and if we need to make any changes or cancel due to safety concerns, we will notify all participants as soon as possible.
If you need to withdraw from the event, please inform us as soon as possible by emailing [email protected]. This helps us manage participant numbers and make any necessary adjustments for the event.
If you are unable to attend but wish to transfer your entry to another participant, you may do so up to 7 days before the event. Please contact us at [email protected] to make arrangements.
The right to postpone and/or cancel the event is at our discretion due to factors such as (but not limited to) adverse weather conditions. In the event that we have to cancel we will notify all participants as soon as possible by email and reschedule the event to a new date.
