Bath Mind is part of a network of around 110 local Mind charities. Each local Mind is an independent charity run by local people, for local people. Whilst we are affiliated to national Mind charity, we are a separate charity. Each local mind is responsible for its own funding and the services it provides.
Local Minds respond to the issues within their communities, and deliver responsive mental health and wellbeing services for the local area.
The national Mind charity provides advice and support on a national level to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Mind also campaign and influence government to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
The Mind retail shop in Bath is not owned by Bath Mind. Proceeds from sales at this shop goes directly to the national Mind charity, funding initiatives such as national campaigning, helplines, website support, and publications.
