What are the benefits of running?

Running is scientifically proven to:

  • Help you deal with stress
  • Calm your mind and reduce anxiety
  • Boost concentration, productivity and creativity
  • Combat depression
  • Improve sleep

Is this course beginner friendly?

Yes! The sessions will build up gradually over 12 weeks, and the Hannah the Runner Team will take you from non-runner to running non-stop for 40 minutes or more. The team are also trained to support your mental health and have lived experience of mental health problems.

Starting running can be daunting, but Hannah and her team have helped hundreds of people start running. With the right coaching running can be for everyone, no matter your age, shape or current fitness.

The sessions will be gentle, and the team will give you encouragement and work as a group, supporting all individuals to feel better, healthier and stronger.

Who are the Hannah the Runner Team?

“We’re a Bath-based running group with a passion for improving mental wellbeing through physical activity. We all have England Athletics running coaching qualifications and Sport England and Mind Mental Health Awareness training.”
