What is Open Space?

Open Space works with young people to explore different activities, share ideas, and get creative. Many activities take place outdoors, where we benefit from the natural world.  The aim is to build confidence, resilience and raise awareness of social action.

With Open Space, we aim to:

  • Support young people’s wellbeing
  • Give advice and tips to help with anxiety and stress
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment
  • Boost resilience, self-confidence, and self-compassion
  • Produce young coaches and ambassadors to cascade the work
  • Support the making of new friends
  • Share the excitement of ideas, creativity & exploration

We also offer FREE Wellbeing Sessions and Workshops to schools in Bath and North East Somerset.

Hear from our volunteer, Holly, who shares her experience of working with young people at Open Space:

The type of volunteering I do is with younger children, and what we usually do is some mindfulness activities in nature. The one thing I get out of volunteering is a lovely experience of helping others and getting to know other people here.
