New funding from St Monica Trust for a new wellbeing group

Bath Mind is delighted to have received funding from St Monica Trust Charitable Impact fund to support older people throughout Bath & North East Somerset who may be feeling lonely, isolated and disconnected from their community.

What is the Share and Care group?

Bath Mind’s “Share and Care” group will offer the opportunity to connect with others through sharing and learning more about food and nutrition, spending time in nature and enjoying gentle exercise. Sessions will be available in person or online. There is no obligation to attend, and information from the group will also be available online for open access.

Improving social connections, nutrition and regular physical activity can have great benefits for our overall wellbeing, and Bath Mind’s wider support services can be accessed by those needing additional support.

“Share and Care” will be inviting members to contribute to a new book, “Cooking for one” which will be published at the end of the project, with recipes gathered from across our community, and the chance to share any story related to the recipe. This will be a wonderful collective publication which will share great recipes which can be made on a budget, as well as giving us an insight into memories associated with some of the recipes.

Funded by the St Monica Trust

Bath Mind are grateful to St Monica Trust Charitable Impact for this funding, which will enable us to help people feel more hopeful and motivated about the future, have a greater sense of community understanding and knowledge, and an enhanced feeling of belonging.
