As #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek2021 draws to a close on Sunday we want to remind you of the benefits of connecting with nature for your mental health and wellbeing. Research has shown that being in, or even viewing scenes, of nature can reduce feelings of stress and anger, help you take time out and improve your mood. See below some of Bath Mind's tips on how experience nature in your own way: 🌳 Connect to your senses, and name one thing you can hear, see, smell, touch and taste 🧘Stand or sit quietly, and take notice of your breath, noticing how your body rises and falls with each breath 🙌Think of three things you are grateful for in that moment 📓Take a notebook and pens, pencils or paints to doodle, sketch or draw! 🧠Journal your thoughts and note how being in nature made you feel In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Week, we're encouraging you to take pictures to explore nature and your local greenspaces and enter our photography competition for a chance to win prizes.
