What is our Emergency Department Adult Intervention Service?

Our Emergency Department Adult Intervention Service is based at the Royal United Hospital in Bath’s Emergency Department. It offers trauma-informed person centred support to people experiencing mental health decline or crisis.

What support is involved?

This service provides timely interventions to assist people in their recovery and to safely live their best lives. We work alongside clients to identify suitable next steps to improve their mental health, and will follow up with them within 24 hours of our first interaction, and at agreed intervals thereafter.

Thank you for supporting me yesterday. I was having tough times physically and mentally and you helped me out by talking to me and organising my CBT follow-up call.

  • Over the age of 18 years
  • Able to actively engage in support
