Supported Living
Bath Mind currently manages two properties in
Bath and aims to:
- Provide a home for people who have lived
in an institutionalized setting because of
their mental health
- Provide encouragement, support and
assistance to residents as they request it
and in order to increase and improve their
quality of life, freedom and independence
- Help residents maintain or improve their
physical and mental health
- Help with 'moving-on' to other
appropriate living accommodation
Larkhall, Bath
The house in Larkwall is a supported home owned
by Knightstone Housing Association and run by
Bath Mind.
The house is a four bed roomed, three storey
home in a popular area of Bath. The house is
conveniently placed close to a bus route which
takes you into the centre of Bath, just a mile
away.
Wellsway, Bath
The house on the Wellsway is a supported home owned by
Jephson Housing Association and run by Bath
Mind.
The house is a three bed roomed home in a quiet
area on the south side of Bath, but close to all
amenities and a bus route to the centre of Bath.
Both homes have communal rooms; a lounge,
kitchen, dining room and bathroom. Tenants can
choose to socialize and eat with others or
alone.
Bath Mind support workers visit the houses
for 11 hours each a week to offer help and
support.
For those residents who have an interest in
gardening there are small gardens at the front
and back of each house and residents are welcome
to use their gardening skills.
Tenants who come to live in the Bath Mind
houses must be supported by a mental health team
from within the Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health
NHS Partnership Trust. This can be a Consultant
Psychiatrist, Community Psychiatric Nurse,
Social Worker or the Rehabilitation Team.
