Supported Living

Bath Mind currently manages one property in Bath and one in Chippenham, Wiltshire and aims to:

  • Provide a setting for independent living with minimum support
  • Provide encouragement, support and assistance to tenants as they request it and in order to increase and improve their quality of life, freedom and independence
  • Help tenants maintain or improve their physical and mental health
  • Help with 'moving-on' to further independent living accommodation within two years.

Marlborough Lane, Bath

The house is made up of six, one person, bedsits each with their own bathroom, lounge and toilet. There is a separate large communal lounge and garden. Marlborough Lane is in the city centre close to the Royal Crescent. Priority placement is given to applicants from black and ethnic communities.

Warwick Close, Chippenham

The house is made up of four one-person flats and situated one mile from the centre of Chippenham. It is closely located to a large supermarket.

Each tenancy is designed to support an individual aided by weekly staff support with the aim of moving tenants on to their own unsupported accommodation. Bath Mind support workers visit each tenant for a few hours every week to offer help and support. Tenants interested in gardening are welcome to use their skills to maintain and develop the gardens at the front and back of each house.
