Community Outreach
Bath Mind's Community Outreach Service
provides assistance and support for people who
have experienced mental or emotional distress or
who feel isolated.
Community Outreach at Hillview Lodge,
Royal United Hospital
Part of the Community Outreach service is to
provide advocacy, information and support to
adults detained, or threatened with detention
under the Mental Health Act at Hillview Lodge,
Psychiatric in-patient unit, and to provide
ongoing advocacy and support during the
transition from inpatient unit into the
community. Weekly drop-in sessions are held at
Hillview or an appointment can be made on
request. People can self refer or referrals are
accepted from health and social care
professionals.
Mosaic is a social group and one to one
support for service users and their carers from
all ethnic minority and/or cultural backgrounds.
Mosaic provides support within a relaxed
environment every Wednesday 10am-3pm at the
Riverside Community Centre, Bath. The focus is
on social interaction and activities of interest
to the group. There is a small charge for lunch
cooked by the Mosaic group.
If there is a specific aim that you want to
achieve during the Mosaic group session staff
will work with you to draw up a suitable action
plan.
If you would like one to one social or life
skills support outside of the social group day,
the Community Outreach Support & Development
Leader for Mosaic will be available during
office hours.
