Community Outreach

Bath Mind's Community Outreach Service provides assistance and support for people who have experienced mental or emotional distress or who feel isolated.

Community Outreach at Hillview Lodge,
Royal United Hospital

Part of the Community Outreach service is to provide advocacy, information and support to adults detained, or threatened with detention under the Mental Health Act at Hillview Lodge, Psychiatric in-patient unit, and to provide ongoing advocacy and support during the transition from inpatient unit into the community. Weekly drop-in sessions are held at Hillview or an appointment can be made on request. People can self refer or referrals are accepted from health and social care professionals.

Community Outreach in Bath

If you have experienced mental distress of any kind you will know how this can affect your self confidence. You may feel you lack up-to-date skills, want to add to your existing skills or find a new direction. Perhaps you want to meet people and socialize as you feel outside of society and lonely. The Community Outreach Service can support you in finding what’s out there to improve your future and get where you want to be.

Bath Mind works in partnership with other organizations, such as the Bath & North East Somerset Community Options Team, to provide drop-ins and various group activities.

Some of the activities available:

  • Monday: Art group
At the Genesis centre, Milk Street, Bath from 11am -1pm

  • Tuesday & Thursday: Drop-in
At Hayhill Baptist Church, The Paragon, Bath 10.30am-2.30pm

  • Wednesday: Bath City Farm & Green Skills programme
