Benefits Advice

Bath Mind and Citizens Advice offer a Benefits Advice service for anyone in Bath & North East Somerset experiencing distress or mental health problems. If you are struggling to claim benefits and need more advice and support, we want to hear from you.

Please note our Benefits Advice service is expanding from 3rd July 2017. We shall keep this page updated, but if you are visiting us, you may wish to call first to check we are available.

    We can offer support and advice on any benefits issue for clients with mental ill health in BANES, including:

    • General benefit entitlement.
    • Benefit check calculations.
    • Universal Credit (UC).
    • ESA/PIP and Limited Capability for Work (UC) application forms.
    • Representation for appeals.

    In order to help you quickly, we need as much information as you can provide. As a minimum, please give us:

    • A name, address and contact telephone number
    • Brief details about the advice you need.
    • Any deadlines, e.g. return of an application form.

    If you have a client who would benefit from some advice, you should complete a referral form and send by email.
